Transformational Healing
By Dr. Nicole Dawson
It is easy to assume that our bodies are set in their ways and that our physical ailments exist as isolated, immoveable facts. We take the mind and body at face value and bend to their will, especially when we feel troubled or pained, and that pain becomes a chronic issue. This means when we experience symptoms, dysfunction, distress and disease we are likely to conform ourselves to that reality of expression and lock it in. Pain becomes the master and we become its servant, and do its bidding. In time we adopt dysfunction of mind and body as part of our identity.
What we need to understand in transformational healing is that the body is not always something happening to us as a separate, unruly entity we must endure. The body does not randomly bubble up in dysfunction out of nowhere in most cases. It is not a cruel master from which we must beg for mercy.
Here is the radical shift; our minds and bodies are the instrument of the soul and they are perfectly tuned to our spiritual realities playing out in the unseen realm. To heal the mind and body, we typically first need to heal our consciousness about sickness and health because our belief patterns limit us. We must stop seeing the body as merely material and recognize the body has a deeply spiritual nature. There is no separation between our spirit and our physical manifestation. They are paired.
This is hard to believe when one’s fundamental mindset is rooted in separation relying solely on the definitions of the material world. In order to heal our minds and bodies we must first heal our mindset in understanding our life through a spiritual lens. This requires God Consciousness. Transformational healing requires seeing our life, our body, and our experiences through the context of our relationship with God.
“We are slowed down sound and light waves, a walking bundle of frequencies tuned into the cosmos. We are souls dressed up in sacred biochemical garments, and our bodies are the instruments through which our souls play their music.” Albert Einstein
When we are mindful and open to the Spirit of God intimately flowing through us, we see health and healing as a dynamic process that is alive and active. Who we are with God and who we are in relation to the mind body are of one mind. Understanding this connection emancipates us because we are no longer stuck in the body or double minded about our healing as we flow with the Spirit of God, a unifying force bigger than us.
In turn, we become new owners of our body. We can understand this paradigm shift when we watch television shows about dog training. Consider a dog that may be unruly, ill-tempered or poor behaved. The owner rarely looks to themselves for this manifestation, but assumes the dog is troubled with a bad personality. However, when an elite trainer steps in with a new energy and fresh mindset, the dog transforms. The exact same dog expresses differently depending on the one who is governing it.
Our bodies are behaving and expressing themselves in similar fashion. As we develop the mind body connection with the fresh Spirit of God, we embody more consciously and with a cleaner, clearer energy. This allows our spirit to redirect our path and transform the flesh. We now own the body, instead of the body owning us. Then in real time, just like with the dog training, we see the body is able to shift miraculously and sometimes instantaneously. A gimpy leg straightens. A sore foot becomes whole. An inflamed gut softens. A divine download of unity restores what was once distorted and pain is gone in the blink of an eye.
Seeing the body’s manifestations through a spiritual lens in relation to God frees us to new possibilities and ways of embodying that our old mindset could never imagine. We are no longer slave to the carnal body, but are liberated by a higher power of Spirit that has the ability to reorder our cellular matrix, recalibrate our blood, fine tune our organs, realign our bones and muscles and knit our nervous system. This type of transformational healing of mind and body is always possible when our consciousness flows with Spirit of God because it takes us beyond our own limitations. This relational intimacy changes the inner reality of who we are living inside our bodies, and as a result our bodies, the instrument of that reality change.
